Room temperature and solvent-free iridium-catalyzed selective alkylation of anilines with alcohols.
A bidentate iridium NHC-phosphine complex has been developed and applied to the N-monoalkylation of aromatic amines with a wide range of primary alcohols and to the N-heterocyclization of amino alcohols. This reaction resulted in high isolated product yields, even at room temperature and under solvent-free conditions.
متن کاملCopper-catalyzed oxytrifluoromethylation of unactivated alkenes.
A mild, versatile, and convenient method for the efficient oxytrifluoromethylation of unactivated alkenes based on a copper-catalyzed oxidative difunctionalization strategy has been developed. This methodology provides access to a variety of classes of synthetically useful CF(3)-containing building blocks from simple starting materials.
متن کاملPlatinum(II)-catalyzed intermolecular hydroarylation of unactivated alkenes with indoles.
Ethylene, alpha-olefins, and vinyl arenes undergo platinum-catalyzed hydroarylation with substituted indoles in moderate to good yield.
متن کاملEfficient methodology for selective alkylation of hydrazine derivatives.
Formation and use of a nitrogen dianion for selective hydrazine alkylation is reported. The scope and limitations of a new method were demonstrated. The novel method provides fast and easy access to substituted hydrazines, which are widely used as drugs, pesticides, and precursors for a variety of compounds in organic synthesis. متن کاملCopper-catalyzed ortho-halogenation of protected anilines.
A practical Cu-catalyzed direct ortho-halogenation of anilines under aerobic conditions has been developed. The reaction shows typically excellent mono-substitution selectivity, high ortho-regiocontrol and large functional group tolerance.
